Toronto Maple LeafsTORONTO – SPORTS – The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that the team have trimmed their training camp roster to fifty-three players.

The Maple Leafs current training camp roster includes a total of thirty-one forwards, seventeen defencemen, and five goaltenders.

The following 10 players have been released from training camp and reassigned to the Toronto Marlies, who open camp September 28: Eric Faille, T.J. Foster, Justin Holl, Justin Johnson, Max Nicastro, Jack Rodewald, Matt Rupert, Ryan Rupert, Nikolai Skladnichenko and Brady Vail. The following six players have been reassigned to their respective junior teams: Stephen Desrocher (Oshawa), Cody Donaghey (Halifax), Martins Dzierkals (Rouyn-Noranda), Aiden Jamieson (London), Michael Joly (Rimouski), and Lucas Peressini (Kingston).
