THUNDER BAY – August weekends offer all kinds of opportunities to get out and enjoy the region. From swimming, going to Chippewa Park, to Boulevard Lake, going fishing, or checking out the local entertainment at Black Pirate’s Pub to the Entertainment District. At Marina Park there is a great way to check out and enjoy the slightly cooler temperatures along Lake Superior.

Here are just a few of the activities happening this weekend:

Friday to Sunday – 124th Murillo Fall Fair – Oliver Agricultural Society – The fair starts Friday and runs through to Sunday.

Friday: Gates open from 5:00 to 10:00 pm

Saturday:  9:00 am    Main & Walk In Gates Open

Sunday – Downtown Fort William – The Hub at 111 May Street South are hosting a Tailgate Sale. There will be lots of children’s clothing, furniture and The Hub will be open selling great coffee and drinks, The Menagerie has great gifts, clothing and fun items for the kiddidles. Doreen Jetten framed prints. Dirte Clothing and Caps, Tarot Reader Jared Hynnes, Pop’s Kettlecorn.

The Event runs from 11AM to 3PM!

Tuesday – Downtown Fort William -Dilico Anishinabek Family Care will celebrate the opening of their new offices in the Fort William Business Area. Dilico will be celebrating the grand opening of their new in-city service site. The site will offer greater accessibility to aboriginal clients and families in the areas of Health, Mental Health and Addictions and Child Welfare.
