Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – BREAKING – Thunder Bay Police have evacuated parts of Intercity Mall following what police are calling an incident over an armed suspect.

Thunder Bay Police report that they were called to Intercity Mall at about 12:19PM this afternoon.

Police are in the midst of an active search for an armed suspect.

The male is described as Caucasian, 5’7” tall, slim build, in his 20’s and is believed to be wearing a short sleeve shirt with a drawing of a marijuana plant on it. The male is armed with knife and what appears to be a firearm.

If you spot this individual, do not approach him. Contact police by calling 911.

Thunder Bay Police are also asking the public not to post possible sightings or other information that could assist the suspect in attempting to flee police.

First reports came into the newsroom during the lunch hour.

Police are making sure that people are safe.
