THUNDER BAY – The search operation involving the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Underwater Search and Recovery Unit has concluded. The dive team commenced its operation on February 15, 2011. An exhaustive search of the waterway adjacent to the James Street bridge was completed this date. A ball cap resembling one worn by Jordan on the night of his disappearance was recovered on a structure just offshore on Tuesday February 15, 2011. The hat is currently being examined at the Centre of Forensic Science.
Tonight at The Davinci Centre, where the family and friends have set up a Command Headquarters, the call for volunteers remains strong. Earlier this evening about fifty people had gathered to share fellowship, and listen to music.
Right now a specific need are drivers with a Class F licence.
People from across the city have rallied, at The Davinci Centre donations are being accepted to help cover some of the costs of the ongoing effort.

Thunder Bay Police Service and OPP are determining the next steps in the search for Jordan Wabasse. It is expected that an update will be issued on Friday February 18, 2011.
