Last night, or early this morning, the door at Redd Boutique on May Street was smashed.

NetNewsLedger has been told it is likely that the thieves may have done themselves in. There are cameras at the locations, and in the case of the break-in at Redd, the thieves hide the cash box near the CBC Thunder Bay Studios and are likely on video camera there too.

Almost all businesses in the downtown Fort William Business District have signs posted that no cash is left on the premises at night. Valuables are usually removed.

Business owners are left with the expensive cost of new glass.
