FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATION – Chief Georjann Morriseau was elected two years ago on Fort William First Nation. On Saturday, voters on the First Nation will head to the polls to vote in an election to determine the course of the First Nation over the coming two years.

Chief Morriseau sat down with NetNewsLedger to talk about the issues that have faced the current council.

The Chief shares some of the successes, stating that the moves to create the new Elder’s Centre is one of the high points. Additionally the court fight in the efforts against a proposed wind farm on the traditional lands of Fort Willian First Nation has been seen as a victory.
