THUNDER BAY – Things got very real for the Guardian Angels in Thunder Bay on Friday. A young woman who was in a very distressed state, right in front of the Guardian Angels Headquarters at 112 May Street South, was involved in a fist fight with a male individual.

Ian Hodgkinson of the Guardian Angels along with several other Angels came out to find out what was happening.

Hodgkinson stated, “The young woman tried several times to run into traffic saying, ‘I want to end my life’.”

As soon as the situation became apparent, 911 was called and Superior EMS arrived on the scene quickly.

The young woman’s social worker and probation officer arrived on the scene. At that point the young woman tried several times to run into the oncoming traffic on May Street.

Hodgkinson was able to get the young woman off of the street, but she was struggling to do harm to herself.

Then things got especially hectic, as Hodgkinson explains in this interview with NetNewsLedger.
