Thunder Bay Queens Womeen's HockeyWINNIPEG, Man. – The Thunder Bay Sportop midget AA Queens got a goal and two assists from Samantha Isbell and some stellar netminding from Fayth Chambers to help lead them to a 3-2 victory over the Banff Hockey Academy Saturday as they wrapped up play at the Female World Sport School Challenge in Winnipeg.

Thunder Bay got on the board first with the lone tally of the opening period as Isbell and Julia Siciliano combined to set-up Paige Sullivan near the seven-minute mark of the contest.

Sullivan then assisted on Isbell’s effort at 13:03 of the first as the Queens went up by a pair.

Hannah Armstrong put Thunder Bay up 3-0 early in the second with Isbell and Briane Prete picking up helpers.

Banff got one back midway through the contest and added a second in the latter stages of the game, but Chambers shut the door the rest of way finishing with 25 saves in the triumph.

The Sportop Queens will now gear up for the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association provincials next month in Toronto.
