Hannibal www.greatnorthwrestling.comTHUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay’s wrestling legend Vampiro is a marked man. On May 15th, at Fort William Gardens, one of the biggest professional wrestling matches to hit the city will get underway at 7:30PM.

Vampiro, a legend in the world of pro-wrestling, will be performing for the first time in front of his hometown crowd. His opponent will be the top unsigned wrestler in Canada, Hannibal.

Hannibal has big plans for his match in Thunder Bay. Hannibal’s goal is to make a major impact on the world of pro-wrestling, and make a name for himself by defeating the legendary Vampiro.

Looking over Hannibal’s wrestling resume, it certainly appears he has the tools to do that.  Hannibal started out as an outstanding amateur wrestler in high school.  He easily won the high school OFSAA wrestling championships. In fact, he did not have even get a single point scored on him his senior year of wrestling.  He won the Canadian Amateur Wrestling Association National Championships in London in 2001, as well as the National team trials that same year in Vancouver.

Instead of taking scholarships offered to him from Simon Frasier University, and the University at Buffalo, Hannibal decided to move to Calgary to train at Stu Hart’s famous dungeon.

After making waves on the Stampede circuit battling the likes of current WWE stars DH Smith and Tyson Kidd he moved on to wrestle full time in the Caribbean for IWA and WWC Puerto Rico.  He has also grappled in Europe for the well-known All Star Wrestling promotion.

Hannibal has faced some of the top stars in the history of wrestling including Abdullah The Butcher, Sid Vicious, Christian, Samoa Joe, Brutus Beefcake, Tatanka, Greg Valentine and Abyss among others.

Recently Hannibal has been training a lot in MMA as well as wrestling and has won many grappling tournaments including the prestigious Joslin’s Canadian Grappling Open.

He is known for being very aggressive and having violent, bloody matches.

Vampiro is getting late into his wrestling career.  Vampiro has survived many challenges, and many opponents. The big challenge in Thunder Bay will be to see if Vampiro will be able to hold off Hannibal’s vast arsenal of punishing manoeuvres in this special Hard-core match.

It will be the wisdom of the veteran of the squared circle taking on the brash ego and power of youth! Some fans are already wondering if special guest referee Terry Funk will be safe from the mayhem, or will he get involved in the action?

There is only one way to find out what is going to happen.

You have to be there live on Saturday May 15th at 7:30 pm at the Fort William Gardens to take in this great night of entertainment that also includes Terry Funk, The Honky Tonk Man, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, The Genius and others.
