New Burger King Fires Up on Arthur Street

Burger KingTHUNDER BAY – It is really cold out today, however the newly renovated Burger King Restaurant is now open. Burger King Restaurants of Canada, Inc. today announced the grand re-opening of the new BURGER KING® restaurant in Thunder Bay, Ontario, featuring the company’s bold new 20/20 global restaurant design.

The sleek, customer-friendly 20/20 design is an artistic interpretation of the company’s “grill-centric” brand and provides restaurant guests with a unique BK® dining experience.

Burger King Thunder BayLocal residents were excited to see the newly updated restaurant open. Line-ups were long, with some dedicated Whopper® fans waiting up to an hour to get their favourite burger.

The flagship Thunder Bay location offers a variety of self-seating options for guests and showcases a modern pallet of metallic finishes and black accents, complemented by ceramic tile with rustic wood and concrete finishes.

The new restaurant is located at 2840 Arthur St. East and is the fourth 20/20 location in Canada, following Waterloo, Windsor and Kamloops, and the first in Northern Ontario.

The King’s new home in Thunder Bay is also equipped with the new Duke Flexible Batch Broiler, maximizing cooking flexibility while reducing operational and energy costs, along with high-efficiency T8 lighting, making the Thunder Bay location the most cutting edge BURGER KING® Canada restaurant yet. Other features include liquid crystal display (LDC) menu screens, an enhanced drive-thru experience and 24-hour operating hours to best serve guests.
