THUNDER BAY – When you think of reporters facing danger, likely it is the war correspondent reporting from the battleground.
Channel Seven reporter Mike Amor was hit in the head by a skateboard while shooting a segment in Venice Beach, California. Amor who is the U.S. bureau chief for the Australian network, was filming a piece to camera when the riderless skateboard flew out from an adjacent skate park, hitting him solidly in the back of his head.
After rubbing his head, Amor waved away those coming to his aid, saying, “I’m good, I’m good, I’m good.” Amor returned to finish his piece to camera, as he has done for the past 25 years in a career that has taken him to Haiti, Indonesia, Libya and New York, where he reported on the September 11 attacks.
