Mayor Hobbs on Civic Campaign 2014
THUNDER BAY – The main issue voters are sharing with Mayor Keith Hobbs is the issue of community safety. Mayor Hobbs discusses the campaign heading into the proverbial clubhouse turn – touching on safety, the ongoing efforts in the Anishinabek community in the city, and the Event Centre.
Hobbs states that the efforts on the James Street Bridge remain in CN Rail’s court as the company is attempting to get away from the 1906 agreement with the City of Thunder Bay. Hobbs states that the “the city is in great shape”, and we are seeing record building permits, and growth across the city.
The Hobbs campaign is battling in the ongoing sign wars and losing a large number of signs. The Mayor suggests that maybe in the future the city should look at simply banning election signs.
The campaign in getting into the home stretch.
