JASPER – RCMP and Emergency responders in Jasper Alberta had a difficult accident to deal with on Thursday. Jasper RCMP responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision approximately 5 km West of Jasper on highway 16. Jasper Fire and Emergency Services also attended the scene.

As a result of further investigation it was determined that a Hyundai Elentra, driven by a 61 year old female (the lone occupant) was heading west on highway 16.
