Suspicious Death Ruled Homicide

THUNDER BAY – CRIME – Thunder Bay Police have concluded their investigation of a sudden death at a house in the 100 Block of Machar Avenue. The death has been deemed a homicide. A man and woman who were residents of the home where the body of an adult male was discovered on Sunday August 24, 2014, have been charged in connection with the man’s death.

Forty-four-year old Chauncy Lyle Grover and forty-four-year old Alyssa Lynn Jourdain have been charged with SEcond Degree Murder.

Both were charged last night by the Criminal Investigations Branch. Their next court date will be September 16, 2014.

A post mortem examination of the victim was conducted this morning in Thunder Bay.

The identity of the deceased is still to be determined.

The cause of death is being withheld.

The investigation is ongoing.
