Thunder Bay is definitely not looking for a weekend split, which is what has happened all season long. “We need to get all six points this weekend”, said Chill head coach Tony Colistro. “We want to be in a position where we control our own destiny once we hit the road next week”, he continued. The Chill leaves for an extended road trip next Friday, June 29th, and will face the Des Moines Menace twice, Chicago Inferno, Springfield Demize and St. Louis Lions once each.
Lifetime the Chill are 11-2-1 against WSA Winnipeg, so it would appear that this opponent would be the perfect one to start a consistent win streak against. Chill striker Ivan Argo Ocerin was one of the players that did not play in Winnipeg, but has scored in each of the four games he has played in to date to lead the Chill in scoring. The Chill are also hopeful that midfield Vitor Huvos will return to the line up after missing both games against the Menace. Sullivan Silva is still not expected to play as he recovers from knee surgery.
Both games are scheduled for Chapples Park, but this being no surprise to anyone, it is supposed to rain today and tomorrow. As a result there may be a move to the Fort William Stadium for either one or both games scheduled this weekend. The decision will be made by City officials based on weather conditions.
