PC Leader Steps Down after Poor Showing at Polls

TORONTO – Tim Hudak took to the podium tonight following a disappointing election result, the PC leader addressing a fairly small crowd of supporters.

“I have spent time traveling around this amazing province,” said Hudak. “We did not receive the results we wanted, but I could not be more proud of our team and its positive message of hope and jobs”.

The PC Party lost 10 seats.

“I contacted Ms Wynne, and I spoke with Andrea Horwath, and congratulated her on a hard fought campaign.”

“Kathleen Wynne promised new change,” stated Hudak, “And she will be held accountable for that promise”.

“I am proud of the campaign we ran,” commented Hudak. “I will not be leading the Ontario PC Party into the next election”.

“I will lead our party and caucus only until the next leader is selected”.
