NIPIGON – On Friday night at the Nipigon Community Centre the Nipigon Elks will be playing against the strong Northern Hawks from Thunder Bay. This should be a great game to watch. Hopefully the fans will come out to cheer and help Nipigon to a win against the first place Hawks. Moriah Harvey will be doing the honour of singing of O’Canada.
The Elks played Tuesday night at the Tournament Centre against the Thunder Bay Junior “B” Stars and beat the Stars 10-5. George Ossachuk led the Elks with a hat trick.
After the game on Friday night against the Hawks, the Elks do not have a game until Friday December 17th in Nipigon. The Thunder Bay Junior Stars will come to Nipigon to play the Elks. As a treat for the fans I hope to have two of the nicest voices singing together and doing O’Canada.
After the game against the Stars the league will be taking its Christmas break. The league will start back up Tuesday January 4th at 8pm when the Nipigon Elks will be travelling to the Tournament Centre to play against the first place Northern Hawks.
