THUNDER BAY – Shelter House has received two hundred new place settings of dishes and cutlery on Friday.

“Sisters in Seven OPSEU’s Women’s Committee in Northwestern Ontario has been serving supper on Saturday a month since last fall. The biggest problem we experienced was running out of bowls and cutlery,” shared Sandra Snider from OPSEU.

“We felt it we need to do something about people having to wait in line until dishes were washed until they could eat. We took it upon ourselves to canvas our locals and region and raised $2500. Russell Food stepped up and put in over $1500 to make it happen”.
