THUNDER BAY – Civic Politics – The Lakehead Social Planning Council (LSPC) and Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce are proud to sponsor an educational forum for prospective candidates on May 24th, from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Lake Superior Art Gallery inside the Victoriaville Centre in the Fort William Business District.
This forum is targeted to people across Northwestern Ontario who are considering running for the positions of Municipal Councillor, School Board Trustee or to become a member of a Local Service Board.
The forum is open to prospective candidates, campaign workers, or persons interested in the local democratic process.
Speakers will discuss the legislation, financial reporting responsibilities and communication strategies.
Charla Robinson, President of Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce and Mary Kozorys, President of Lakehead Social Planning Council, will welcome participants at 10AM EDT.
