New Nishnawbe-Aski Police

THUNDER BAY – CRIME NEWS – The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service has six new officers joining the ranks to serve the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation.

Cst. John Conrad is from Thunder Bay, Ontario and has over 10 years’ experience with the Canadian Forces.

Cst. Craig Johnson is from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and attended the Lake Superior State University.

Cst. Graham Trude is from Collingwood, Ontario and graduated from Sir Sanford Fleming College and had previously worked with the Department of National Defence, Armoured Corps.

Cst. Justin Ruffo is from Sudbury, Ontario, is a member of the Chapleau Cree First Nation and graduated from Police Foundations at Cambrian College.

Cst. Troy George is from Wallaceburg, Ontario, is a member of the Walpole Island First Nation and graduated from Fanshawe College.

Cst. Steven Hookimaw is from Attawapiskat First Nation and is a former Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Auxiliary Constable. The new officers will be attending the communities of Sandy Lake First Nation, Attawapiskat First Nation, Poplar Hill First Nation, Kingfisher Lake First Nation, Moose Cree First Nation for their initial training period with a Coach Officer.
