THUNDER BAY – Weather – Expect Extreme wind chill values tonight.
Environment Canada reports “A surge of frigid Arctic air combined with moderate northwest winds has resulted in wind chill values of minus 40 to minus 45 this morning. Although temperatures will increase somewhat during the day winds are expected to remain near 20 kilometres per hour generating extreme wind chill values once again tonight into Sunday morning.
Extreme caution is advised if outdoors. Exposed skin may freeze in 5 minutes or less.
