THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay south was engulfed in a terrible smell on Friday night. The smell that had many residents calling 911. The stench had many people almost sick from the smell. The issue was that the Resolute Mill on Neebing Avenue had released gas from the property.
Resolute released the gas which the company states was non-combustible, but have not stated what the actual gas was. The company states they contacted the Ministry of the Environment before releasing the gas.
The weather is being blamed for the impact on homes and businesses across Thunder Bay South.
