Vince Mirabelli, Director, Health Sciences Foundation Board, confirmed how important community support is to the future of cardiac care.  “Because of a vision for expansion, and a community that supported that vision through donations to the Northern Cardiac Fund, cardiac care in Northwestern Ontario looks a lot different than it did just a few short years ago, with the gold-standard of care, 24/7 angioplasty, available to patients. We stand behind our cardiac care team and support their efforts to expand our program to a future that includes a cardiovascular surgery program here at the Health Sciences Centre.”
