Drivers Need to Drive Like it is Winter

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay streets are slippery. A car on Memorial Avenue by Silver City ended up flipped over this afternoon after it reportedly lost control and slide into a snowbank.

There was about two centimetres of snow that came down this afternoon landing onto of roads which with the warming temperatures were already slippery.

Drivers need to take a like more time to get to their destination.

Local body shops are stacked up with work as a result of the many accidents in recent days. Drivers should take the time to make sure their windows and lights are clear of snow, and that a full tank of washer fluid in in the reservoir.

Thunder Bay Police have been dealing with a number of traffic accidents over the past 36 hours.
