Thunder Bay Roads Icy

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay roads today are like a skating rink. Along Memorial Avenue, a Thunder Bay Transit Bus is off the road, accidents across the city are slowing traffic.

Along Memorial Drive at the Real Canadian Super Store, there has been a minor fender bender.

The key today with fresh snow falling is clearing off windows, making sure the car is warmed up, and if possible waiting for another day to get out on the roads.

Un-needed travel can put you at risk.

Environment Canada is calling for out to ten centimetres of snow with flurries tapering off into the evening.

The snow has city crews out clearing sidewalks and major roadways. However as the snow continues it is making driving and walking more difficult.
