THUNDER BAY – Mother Nature has served up a wet start to election day. The polls are open until 8:00 PM this evening. While some of the candidates have wound down their campaigns, others are still going.

Perceived Mayoral campaign front-runner Keith Hobbs spent Sunday evening with his campaign team along with a number of other candidates at The Da Vinci Centre for a spaghetti dinner. After the dinner, Hobbs who has been likely logging more miles door-knocking than any other candidate planned to return emails, and get an early night to get ready for Monday.

The Hobbs team will gather at The Da Vinci on Monday night to watch the results, and have invited their supporters to join them. Campaign Manager Scott Hobbs stated, “Make sure to get out to vote. This election could be close so we need each and everyone of you to cast a ballot! If anyone needs a ride to the polls, give our campaign office a call tomorrow. We have several cars, and a bus to drive people to the polls! The number is 623-3005”.

Challenger Frank Pullia is positive that the momentum in the campaign has shifted as voters started looking at their choices. “I encourage you to make an informed decision for the future of our community,” comments Pullia.

“If you have not already done so, please visit my web site at www.frankpullia.com where you can find my comprehensive plan “Awaken Thunder Bay’s Giant Potential” to revitalize Thunder Bay. If you support my vision for Thunder Bay, please forward to your distribution list”.

Pullia states that he plans to continue campaigning right up until the polls close at 8:00PM. Once the polls close, Pullia will be at his campaign office in the Northwood Mall.

Incumbent Mayor Lynn Peterson is reported to be spending the day preparing for another set of meetings in Toronto. Mayor Peterson will host a private party for campaign workers and friends this evening to watch the election results.
