Hunting Knife Used in Stabbing
THUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – A large hunting knife was the weapon that sent a local man to hospital in a stabbing incident that happened at about 8:20PM Wednesday night. The incident happened in the 200 block of May Street south.
The Thunder Bay Police are hunting for the lone male suspect in this incident who police report is known to them.
No description of the suspect has been released to the public.
The stabbing victim is a twenty-two-year-old male. The individual is in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with reported serious injuries.

Four Weapons Offences over Past 24 Hours
The stabbing on South May was not the only weapons related offence in the city’s south side over the past twenty-four hours.
Crime Reports show that there was a weapons offence at 6:33PM at Dease and May Street, another in the 200 Block of Brodie Street. That incident had several police units on site in the 500 block of Victoria Avenue East.
Police also dealt with an assault near the noon hour on the 100 block of May Street South.
There was also another weapons offence at about 10:17AM on the 100 block of Cumberland Street North in the downtown North Ward.
27 Violent Incidents So Far in November
In total from November 1-7th there have been 27 assaults, sexual assaults and weapons calls into Thunder Bay Police.
Though the month of October there were 187 similar incidents responded to by Thunder Bay Police.
