TWO HILLS , AB – On June 3rd, 2013, Two Hills area Emergency Services responded to a ‘Quad’ accident at a popular ATV area near Two Hills, AB.
 
A rider was seriously injured when their Quad rolled forward while driving down a steep hill. The heavy machine rolled over the driver and caused internal injuries and broken bones. Emergency Medical Services and members of the Two Hills Volunteer Fire Department responded rapidly to located the injured person several miles from the nearest road. STARS was contacted and assisted in removing the person from the woods and quickly getting them to hospital. Thanks goes to all those involved, whether performing their occupational duties or volunteering their time to keep their community safe.

Two Hills RCMP would like to remind the public to exercise caution and take basic safety precautions when enjoying recreational activities. Simple preparations such as wearing protective equipment, being trained in first aid, using the “buddy system”, and having a means of communication could be the difference of life and death.
