It is important for vehicle owners to practice crime prevention. Leaving bags, purses, cell phones, cameras and even parking meter change in your vehicle is likely to cause thieves to target your car.

There were six instances of Break and Enters reported to police over the time period as well.

Crime Prevention – Better for all!

Once again it is summer, and it is important to remember to keep your doors locked. If you are doing yard work, keep the door locked. For homeowners, a good tip would be walking your property and looking at how to make sure it is secure.

Warmer weather will mean open windows. Keeping ladders locked up or out of sight will prevent easy access for a criminal seeking to break into your home. In the picture, there are several tools that a crook could use to break into your home, or simply steal. Taking a few minutes to walk your property will likely save you the misfortune of dealing with a break in or theft.

As summer approaches, that is a key time to make sure your family vacation doesn’t result in crime too. If you purchase new electronics, cameras, video equipment, or a new television, don’t put the box out on the street corner for the Sanitation Department – That big screen television box is like a billboard to a criminal that a new television is in the home.

Cut the box up, and recycle it. It only takes a few minutes, and the result could be saving yourself from a break in.
