THUNDER BAY – This Mother’s Day why not treat your mother, your wife, or anyone special to you who is a mother, to a great day of love! Yes, since this is a food column, I mean take her out and let her enjoy her special day! Even though mothers are special everyday, show her just how much, by taking her out and letting her enjoy a beautiful brunch!
I have compiled a list of places that are offering Mother’s Day brunches in Thunder Bay, so check them out and make a reservation so you’re not disappointed!
These are in no particular order and it’s advised to call and get all the details, but do that today as many of these places fill up quickly.
The prices range from $15 up to over $30 per person.

NorWester Hotel Cliffhanger Restaurant – Seatings starting at 10:30 a.m. and the last seating is at 1 p.m. Adults $29.95; children $13.95 and under 5 is free. Call for reservations 473-9123.
Prince Arthur Portside Dining Room – Two seatings, 11 a.m and 1 p.m. Adults $29.95; children under 12 $11.95. For Reservations call 346-5139.
Valhalla Inn – Two seatings (for parties over 6 it will be in the ballroom), 10:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. Adults $32.50; children under 12 $14.95; under 5 eat for free. In Runway 25 two seatings: 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (same prices as above). Call for reservations 577-1121.

Fort William Curling Club – Two seatings: 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Adults $22; children $14; under 6 is free. Call for reservations 623-6621.
Hazelwood Lake – Three seatings: 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon. Adults $27.95; children $12.95; under 4 is free. Call for reservations as seating is limited 926-2762.
Port Arthur Curling Club – Two seatings: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Adults $24.95; children $12; under 6 is free. Call for reservations 344-1441.
Whitewater Golf Club – Seatings start at 10:30 a.m. Adults $26.95; Children $11.95; kids 4 and under are free. Call for reservations 475-4653.

Royal Canadian Legion, 730 Simpson St. Two seatings: 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Adults $12; children $6. Call 623-1775 for reservations.
Slovak Legion – Two seatings: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. $15 per person. Call for reservations 623-3354.
This Old Barn – Seatings are at 1 p.m. and in the evening at 4 & 6 p.m. Call 935-3015 for reservations.

Oriental Gardens will be open this Sunday just for Mothers Day, they are normally closed on Sunday!
Rose Valley Lodge – 4 course lunch at 2 p.m. or dinner at 6 p.m. $39 per person. Call for reservations .

Bight is offering a Mothers Day Brunch for $25 and a 3-course dinner for $45. Call for reservations 344-0999.
Daytona’s Bar & Grill is offering a brunch from 10:30-1 p.m. Call for reservations 622-2169.
The Keg is also offering a special Mothers Day menu in addition to their regular menu. Open at 33:0 p.m. Call to make reservations 623-1960.
Meiji Restaurant is open on Sunday just for Mothers Day with an all-you-can-eat Sushi for $25, 4-9 p.m.
Ruby Moon. Last chance to dine at Ruby Moon as it will be closing. Seatings from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Call for reservations 344-3828.
Grand Portage Lodge & Casino has an all day buffet. Adults $19.99; children under 12 $9.99. For every buffet purchased at your table, a mother will get her buffet for free.
