Pyongyang – International – North Korea has put missiles on mobile platforms and moved missiles closer to the coast of the Asian country. In South Korea, the government has stated that they believe North Korea could be planning a missile launch later this week. A planned trip to Washington by a South Korean top military leader has been postponed.  The Government of South Korea is citing escalating tensions on the peninsula for the postponement of the scheduled trip.

North Korea is placing the blame for the escalating tension on the shoulders of the United States

The Korean Central News Agency reports, “The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un made a final decision for all-out action against the U.S. and advanced a new strategic line of simultaneously pushing forward the economic construction and the building of nuclear armed force at the March Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea”.

The North Korean Government could be planning the launch of a missile, likely a Musudan missile.

“The BM25 Musudan, also known under the names Taepodong X, Nodong / Rodong-B and Mirim, is a mobile intermediate-range ballistic missiledeveloped by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The Musudan was first revealed to the international community in a military parade on 10 October 2010 celebrating the Korean Worker’s Party’s 65th anniversary, although experts believe these were mock-ups of the missile”. Reports are coming forward confirming the move of missile launchers. “It has been confirmed that North Korea, early this week, transported two Musudan mid-range missiles by train to the east coast and loaded them on vehicles equipped with launch pads,”

“In this regard a spokesman for the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League made public a statement Thursday. Millions of Korean youth turned out as one in the sacred war for annihilating the enemy, true to the important decision made by the great man of Mt. Paektu, the statement said, and went on:

“The youth vanguard, grown under the care of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu, is ready to flatten even a mountain once the headquarters of the revolution issues an order. This is their spirit and proud tradition.

“The Korean youth will sweep away those who hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK to the last man, fluttering the flag of the supreme commander, banner of victory and glory, and holding tight the arms for devotedly defending the leader”.

North Korea has set out a warning to foreign embassy staff that after April 10 the can no longer assure their safety. This has raised concerns that what some are calling a war of rhetoric is far more serious. However the possible threat is not generating a mass move of embassy staff leaving North Korea.

The Foreign Office in London states, “We are consulting international partners about these developments. No decisions have been taken, and we have no immediate plans to withdraw our Embassy.

“In recent weeks, the North Korean Government has raised tensions on the Korean peninsula and the wider region through a series of public statements and other provocations. We condemn this behaviour and urge the North Korean Government to work constructively with the international community, including over the presence of foreign Embassies”, comments a spokesperson with the Foreign Office..
