Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responds to vehicle fire

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire and Thunder Bay Police responded to a vehicle fire at an apartment complex located at 186 South Algoma Street. The call came in at 04:12AM on 5 April, 2013,

Several of the residents were forced to vacate their apartments temporarily while the fire was extinguished.

A pick-up truck sustained extensive damage while the apartment building appeared to have received minor damage. No injuries were reported. The incident is currently under investigation although foul play is not being ruled out at this time.

Using Crime Mapping, residents of Thunder Bay are able to see the crimes and incidents that the Thunder Bay Police Service respond to. The Crime Map allows residents to see how safe their neighbourhood is, or how safe different areas of the city are.

Over the past twenty-four hours, Thunder Bay Police dealt with thirty nine incidents. This included two weapons offences, sixteen calls related to alcohol and drugs and two assaults. 

As well there were several thefts and break ins.
