No business idea or concept is developed in isolation without customer or market feedback. In this interactive hands-on workshop you will learn ways to seek out the market’s perception of your idea and determine if there is a paying customer base before you invest your hard earned cash into your start-up or business idea. All attendees are asked to have a live customer they can call or solicit for feedback on their idea between day 1 and day 2. After completing this workshop you will have the skill set to properly evaluate your idea and determine its fit in the market to decide if you want to take to market or kill.
Part 1 – Obtaining Market Feedback
Combine principles of customer development with market intelligence techniques in order to test key assumptions and lower your venture’s risk.
Deliverable: Techniques and preparation for customer development interviews.
Part 2 – Analysis and Decision Making
Learn ways to analyze market feedback to determine your target customers and validate customer problems, as well as to prepare test solutions and business models.
Deliverable: Techniques to analyze feedback for making business decisions.

Fort William First Nation Mining Conference
The Fort William First Nation are hosting their first Mining Conference “Plan for The Future” on Monday and Tuesday, March 25th and 26th at the Fort William First Nation Community Centre, 90 Anemki Road, Thunder Bay, ON.
The theme of the conference is “Building Training, Employment and Development Opportunities For The Future”.
The presentations and exhibits will focus on informing the attendees of job requirements and job opportunities for employment within the mining sector.
There is currently a lack of skilled labour and resources that the mining industry will require over the next few years.
This conference will unite band members, students and the general public with mining industry leaders, training organizations, and mining related companies.
Topics will revolve around the status of mining in Northwestern Ontario, academic requirements for various careers and trades, careers for women in mining, aboriginal mining involvement and resources available for employers and prospective employees.
Lakehead University Native Students Association Pow Wow
The Lakehead University Native Student Association (LUNSA) is hosting its annual powwow at the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse from Friday, March 15 to Sunday, March 17, 2013. This year’s theme is Celebrating 25 Years of Powwow at Lakehead University.
This powwow showcases local talent and entertainment, free of charge, while reinforcing traditional aspects of Aboriginal culture such as drumming, dancing, singing, and giving thanks.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
