THUNDER BAY – Business – The Blackberry 10 is ready for pre-order. All of the major carriers in Northwestern Ontario are announcing how customers can get the new phone. The world-wide launch of the new phone and operating system have seen shares drop in trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Shares opened at $16.08 and by mid afternoon were down in trading. Shares fell 5.08% on volume at 170,908,100.

There is lots of positive market buzz, but so far not on the share price.

Blackberry 10 in Northwestern Ontario

Bell Offers on Blackberry 10

Bell announced the new BlackBerry® Z10 smartphone powered by BlackBerry® 10, is now available for pre-order at Bell.ca/blackberry10. Bell states, “The BlackBerry Z10 will launch nationally on February 5 with Bell Mobility on Canada’s largest 4G LTE network”.

Blackberry 10 at TELUS

TELUS has also launched the new BlackBerry® Z10 smartphone powered by BlackBerry® 10 in Canada. TELUS says, “The new BlackBerry Z10 is the first smartphone to launch with the re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry 10 platform, giving customers a powerful and unique new mobile computing experience. The BlackBerry Z10 smartphone is the fastest and most advanced BlackBerry smartphone yet, and offers a smarter experience that continuously adapts to a customer’s needs”.

The new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone will be available in-store at TELUS on February 5, 2013 for $149 on a 3-year term with a minimum $50 monthly plan* before tax or $650  month-to-month. Customers can also pre-order the new BlackBerry Z10 from TELUS starting today at www.telusmobility.com/BlackBerryZ10.
