THUNDER BAY -Sports – Thunder Bay Sportop Midget AA Queens are in Chicago this weekend playing in the High Performance Hockey League Showcase. The first game was Friday night against the Chicago Young Americans.
The Queens won a close one 2-0. Scoring in the 3rd period with 4:26 left in the was #11 Bronwyn Bolduc assisted by #19 Farrah Nicholl and then #12 Kaley Tienhaara sealed the game with a goal at :48 seconds.
#30 Jayde Turcotte was in net stopping all 11 shots while the Queens had 22 shots on the CYA goaltender.
Next game for the Queens is: 11:45am Saturday against Little Caesars.
