Plot: John McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working to prevent a nuclear-weapons heist, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.
Story: Iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, for the first time, finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack – unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.
Did you know: This is the first script to be originally written for the Die Hard franchise. The first ‘Die Hard’ script was initially a sequel to ‘The Detective’ starring Frank Sinatra, called ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’. ‘Die Harder’ was originally a sequel to Commando. ‘Die Hard With A Vengeance’ and ‘Live Free or Die Hard’ were unrelated scripts called ‘Simon Says’ and ‘WW3.com’, respectively, until John McClane was added to adapt the films in
