THUNDER BAY – Sports – The Thunder Bay North Stars will take to the Fort William Garden’s ice tonight and battle back from last night’s 4-1 loss to the Dryden Ice Dogs. The N-Stars have a few new players in the line-up. Doug Gunsinger reports that the team is getting back on track, and the addition of some new blood might be the spark to get the team firing on all cylinders.

At North Stars games so far this season, the team has for the most part punched above its weight. What is interesting to witness is what is missing.

The fans in the stands seem to be a missing component for many events at the Fort William Gardens. With hundreds or thousands of empty seats in the stands, it really begs why the community is planning for a facility that would seat up to 6700 fans for a hockey game.

For sports fans in our community one of the keys is getting out and supporting the local teams, and making sure that the events in our community are attended. That is one of the keys to ensuring that an event centre will be a worthy investment.
