Quality MarketTHUNDER BAY – Dan and David Stezenko have announced that “After 24 years of serving the community, Quality Market is announcing that it will be closing both locations soon. The Quality Market family would like to thank the residents of Thunder Bay for supporting our family business”.

The news comes just a week after the Quality Market Campus Hill location was awarded Top Independent Grocer of the Year.

Quality Market shares, “Effective immediately, all stock will be sold at significant savings”.

David Stezenko says he is concerned for many of his employees who will be impacted by this news. Quality Market has hired many single moms, and worked with them to fit their job around their families and schedules. David was looking tired, and naturally a little stressed by the events. However he shared with one customer, and friend that he will see them Sunday at Church and he has them in his thoughts and prayers.

Many customers were in the Centennial Square store on Tuesday evening, and although stock is significantly marked down, there were more sad faces than smiles. Many people speaking on the closure shared stories of how the locally owned store has been a part of our community for years. The closure also likely impacts the very innovative online store that Quality Market established to ship groceries north to communities.

Thank you, Quality Market for your years of dedicated service to Thunder Bay from the team at NetNewsledger.com
