Two Suspects Arrested in Villa Street Business Break-In

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a break-and-enter incident at a north-side business in Thunder Bay that occurred in late February.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a commercial alarm on Villa Street during the early hours of February 26, 2025. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the premises had been forcibly entered, resulting in property damage and stolen merchandise. The suspects had already fled the scene.

The Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit took over the case and launched an investigation that led to the identification of two suspects.

On Wednesday, March 12, 36-year-old Carrie O’KEESE was arrested. She has been charged with Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence and Theft Under $5,000.

Then on Tuesday, March 25, police arrested 52-year-old Eugene SABOURIN. He faces multiple charges, including Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence, Theft Under $5,000, Mischief Under $5,000, and Failure to Comply with a Probation Order.

Both suspects were remanded into custody following their initial court appearances, with further proceedings pending.
