Thunder Bay, ON – Stephen Margarit has been officially nominated as the Ontario Liberal candidate for Thunder Bay-Atikokan. A life-long Thunder Bay resident, Stephen brings a wealth of experience from his vast community involvement.
Stephen gained tremendous insight into the needs of northern Ontarians through his time working with former MPP Michael Gravelle.
Stephen also worked at the local Bombardier facility, which at the time, was Thunder Bay’s largest private sector employer. Stephen was also the Coordinator at the Bombardier Labour Action Centre which helped support and transition laid-off employees to new careers.
For most of his life, Stephen has been a steadfast volunteer. He is currently the Chair of Thunder Bay’s Clean, Green & Beautiful Committee as well as the Downtown Fort William Revitalization Committee. Stephen is a long-time Fort William Rotarian and he has also been a volunteer with Shelter House and the RFDA.
 “After almost 7 years of Doug Ford, residents of Thunder Bay-Atikokan are struggling. Whether it’s health care, education, housing or the cost of living, our friends and neighbours are falling behind, while wealthy insiders are reaping the benefits.
Incumbent MPP Progressive Conservative Kevin Holland is running for re-election. Judith Mongrain the former MPP is the New Democrat candidate.
