PITTSBURGH – SPORTS – At the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) sold-out debut event in the Steel City, Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) went a perfect 3-for-3 to win the U.S. Border Patrol PBR Pittsburgh, presented by Ariat, and climb to No. 1 in the Unleash The Beast standings.

It’s the first time the 25-year-old Australian rider, who is a member of the Texas Rattlers in the separate PBR Teams league, has held the top spot in the world.

“It’s massive to be riding in such a great venue and get the win,” Fielder said. “I just gotta keep the ball rolling.”

Entering the weekend 59.5 points behind John Crimber (Decatur, Texas), Fielder covered Money Moves (Snyder Family/Gene Owen Bucking Bulls) for 86.5 points in Round 1.

Now in a groove, the Aussie made the 8 for 85 points aboard Chuck (LH Cattle/Broke Spur Ranch) in Round 2 to enter the final round ranked third in the event standings.

Choosing UTZ BesTex Smokestack (Blake Sharp/Chris Utz/Carey Brothers) as his final animal athlete opponent, Fielder completed a flawless weekend with a round-winning, event-high 90.75 points.

Fielder’s second event win of the season netted him 131 Unleash The Beast points, and he now holds a 71.5-point lead over No. 2 Crimber, who is sidelined due to an injury, in the standings.

The only other rider to cover all three of his animal athlete opponents was Felipe Furlan (Sales Oliveira, Brazil), who finished second.

In the opening round, the Brazilian rode Wild Fire (Blake Sharp/Cody Gill) for 84.25 points.

Furlan then sat tall atop Sly (K-C Bucking Bulls/RD Cattle) for 87.25 points in Round 2 to move on to the championship round.

In his final out of the weekend, Furlan danced in perfect time with Lights Out (Blake Sharp/Hanks) for 90.25 points, the first 90-point ride of the weekend.

The perfect performance garnered Furlan 93 Unleash The Beast points, pushing him from No. 48 to No. 34 in the standings.

The final spot on the podium belonged to Clay Guiton (Cherryville, North Carolina), who went 2-for-3.

Riding in the leadoff spot for the Oklahoma Wildcatters in Round 1, Guiton topped Bad Intentions (K Bar C Bucking Bulls/TCB Ranch) for 87 points.

The North Carolinian then matched his performance in the opening round by riding Bayou Bad Boy (Cypress County/Davis Rodeo Ranch) for another 87 points in Round 2 to take the lead heading into the championship round.

With his pick of the pen, Guiton chose Nobody (Snyder Family/Gene Owen Bucking Bulls), but he was bucked off in 6.12 seconds.

The Tarheel cowboy earned 65 Unleash The Beast points, skyrocketing from No. 35 to No. 21 in the standings.

In fourth place was Leonardo Castro (Cassilandia, Brazil).

After topping Hoobastank (Blake Sharp/Hanks) for 86.75 points in Round 1, Castro rode Angel’s Envy (CCL Bucking Bulls/Lone Star/Cornwell Bucking Bulls) for 84.75 points in Round 2.

Seeking his first event title of the season, Castro thundered out of the chutes aboard Punchy Pete (Crescent City Bucking Bulls/Lari Crane/Gene Owen) in the championship round but was bucked off after 3.15 seconds.

Castro left PPG Paints Arena with 43 Unleash The Beat points to rise from No. 20 to No. 14 in the 2025 gold buckle race.

Rounding out the Top 5 was Elizmar Jeremias (Anapu, Brazil).

Paired with Whatchamacallit (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) in Round 1, the Brazilian cowboy made the 8 for 86.25 points.

Jeremias then punched his ticket to the championship round by converting in the second round for 85 points on Spunky Energy (Bull Team/D&H/Lone Star).

In position to vie for his first career premier series title, Jeremias attempted to tame Exodus (Jane Clark/Gene Owen) in the championship round but was bucked off in 4.0 seconds.

The fifth-place finish awarded Jeremias 37.5 Unleash The Beast points to push him from No. 31 to No. 27 in the standings.

Also of note was rookie Everton Natan da Silva (Viradouro, Brazil), who went 2-for-3 and finished eighth in his premier series debut.

Earning an invite to Pittsburgh as a rider for the Arizona Ridge Riders in the Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World, the young Brazilian took advantage of his opportunity, riding Wicked in a Winning Way (Chestnut Dreams/Davis Rodeo Ranch) for 85.25 points in Round 1.

Allowed to compete for the remainder of the weekend courtesy of his opening-round ride, Silva earned a spot in his first championship round by covering Pneu-Dart’s Chief Wahoo (LH Cattle Co.) for 83.75 points in Round 2.

Silva’s Cinderella run came to an end in the final round, however, as he was bested by Rockville (Blake Sharp/Koe Wetzel/Giovanni/Morris) in 7.04 seconds.

With his incredible debut, Silva earned 22 Unleash The Beast points, putting him at No. 47 in the standings.

In the bull pen, Hoobastank and Big Chili (Blake Sharp/Bull Mamas/UB Bucking Co.) were both marked 45.25 points to split the YETI “Built for the Wild” Bull of the Event title.

In addition, Magic Potion (K Bar C Bucking Bulls/Daniels Cattle Co.) bucked off Claudio Montanha Jr. (Ribeirao dos Indios, Brazil) in 3.22 seconds to extend his buckoff streak to 44, putting him four behind Cool Whip (Julian/Stacy Addison/D&H/Crooked W) for the PBR record.

The elite Unleash The Beast next heads west to the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, for the Wrangler Long Live Cowboys PBR Sacramento, presented by Cooper Tires.
