FORT WORTH, Texas – As the first-ever PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Last Cowboy Standing, brought to you by PlainsCapital Bank, got underway Tuesday night at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas) and Rogerio Venancio (Guzolandia, Brazil) rode supreme, tying for the Round 1 win at the progressive elimination tour stop.

Keeping, who rides for the hometown Texas Rattlers in the separate PBR Teams league, and Venancio both delivered 86.75-point rides inside Dickies Arena. Keeping outlasted Rock ‘n Roll (Raymond & Coy Henry/Lidgard), while Venancio topped Walk Hard (Ace of Spades/McGuire/Martinez), each collecting 23 Unleash The Beast points.

In the race for the 2025 PBR World Championship, Keeping rose from No. 25 to No. 24, while Venancio climbed from No. 37 to No. 35.

Fellow Texas Rattler Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) was third.

The charismatic Australian rode Oyster Creek Brawler (Farris Cattle/Big Schott Rodeo) for 86.5 points. The bronze showing earned Fielder 17 Unleash The Beast points. While he began the event ranked No. 3 in the 2025 gold buckle battle, he’s now tied with the Austin Gamblers’ Lucas Divino (Nova Crixas, Brazil) for No. 2 in the world, 77.5 point behind No. 1 John Crimber (Decatur, Texas). Neither Divino, nor the Florida Freedom’s Crimber, are competing in Fort Worth.

Fourth was defending Last Cowboy Standing event champion Ezekiel Mitchell (Rockdale, Texas).

The affable Texan’s 86.25-point ride on Body Roc (Cooper/Scruggs Bucking Bulls) netted him 16 Unleash The Beast points.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was the Carolina Cowboys’ Daylon Swearingen (Piffard, New York).

Swearingen, the first-ever PBR World Champion crowned inside Dickies Arena in 2022, made the requisite 8 atop Fiesta (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) for 85.75 points. He earned 15 Unleash The Beast points, rising from No. 28 to No. 26 in his quest to become a two-time PBR World Champion.
