Road Plowing: Priorities in Progress
City road crews began plowing at 6 AM this morning, focusing on:
- Arterial Routes (main roads)
- Collector Routes (secondary streets)
- Transit Routes (key public transport areas)
Residential street plowing will start once priority routes are completed and snow accumulation stops.
Sidewalks & Trails: Keeping Pedestrians Safe
Clearing of sidewalks and trails also commenced at 6 AM, targeting:
- Key Arterial and Core Area Sidewalks
- Trails in High-Traffic Areas
Residential sidewalk clearing will follow after priority routes are finished.
Sanding & Salting: Combatting Slippery Surfaces
Sanding and salting began last night at 9 PM and continued overnight. Crews will maintain focus on:
- Slippery spots on priority roads
- Residential streets as needed throughout the week
