Family of Missing Woman Deborah Anishinabe Pleads for Public’s Help

THUNDER BAY, ON – The family of Deborah Anishinabe is desperately seeking answers after her disappearance a week ago. Anishinabe, mother-in-law to Stacey Fiddler and beloved “Auntie Deborah” to her nephews, vanished without a trace, leaving her family distraught and searching for clues.

Despite extensive efforts by family and police, no leads have emerged. In a heartfelt plea, Anishinabe’s family is reaching out to the community for support in bringing her home.

Vigil Walk Planned

A vigil walk is planned to retrace Anishinabe’s usual route home, a path she tragically did not complete on the night of her disappearance. The walk, scheduled for December 12, 2024 at 6:00 PM starting at 126 Simpson Street, will begin with a smudging ceremony and hand drumming, followed by a candlelit procession.

The family welcomes anyone who wishes to join in solidarity and support. “We are just a family doing our best,” they shared. “We want her back.”
