All Dryden, Vermilion Bay, Ear Falls, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Ignace, and Upsala buses will be cancelled on Wednesday, December 4 due to inclement weather and road conditions.

Terrace Bay:

Lake effect snow squalls ending early this morning. Hazards: Locally heavy snowfall with additional accumulations near 5 cm. Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 5 cm per hour. Very poor visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Power outages possible due to the heavy wet nature of the snow.

Timing: Ending early this morning. Discussion: Lake effect snow squalls off Lake Superior will move east out of the area early this morning. Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Road closures are possible.

Hazards: Snow with additional accumulations of 5 to 10 cm. Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow. Timing: Now through this evening. Discussion: A low pressure system will continue to bring heavy snow at times to the area.

The snow is expected to taper off this evening. Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.
