The 2024/25 NFL season is in full swing as teams are battling it out to get to the top of their respective Conferences and Divisions. We are almost halfway through this campaign and many things are becoming clearer. While surprises are always possible, it is now easier to see who may end up in the postseason and who is going home early.

For sports bettors whose main attention is drawn to the National Football League, it is the ultimate time to start taking NFL odds more seriously. In this guide, we take a closer look at some of the upcoming games as well as the potential Super Bowl matchup.

Upcoming Fixtures

On Sunday, October 20, there is an incredible lineup of 12 games across the league as 24 teams are in action. For the punters among you, it is football Sunday at its best and a prime opportunity to make some high-stakes betting tickets and hope for the best. So let us take a closer look at the current odds for those upcoming games.

First up is the Jacksonville Jaguars @ New England Patriots, a great game in the Greater Boston Area. Considering the season so far and the current form of the teams, the odds make sense. The spread, moneyline, and total odds for the Patriots are 1.91, 3, and 1.91, respectively. The same odds for the Jags are 1.92, 1.44, and 1.95. It is a great game that can go either way, just like most of the upcoming schedule.

The Buffalo Bills have slightly better odds than their host, the Tennessee Titans. They are favored by 1.91, 1.22, and 1.91 to the Titans’ 1.92, 4.6, and 1.95. The NY Giants are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles, an East Coast classic, and are actually in a subordinate position according to the bookies. Their odds are 2, 2.45, and 1.91. The Eagles, a better team on paper, have 1.87, 1.61, and 1.95 for their spread, moneyline, and total, respectively.

The Vikings will stay home in Minnesota as the Detroit Lions come to town. The away team currently sits at 1.94, 2.1, and 1.91 odds over the home team’s 1.91, 1.83, and 1.92.

How about a West Coast classic? The Las Vegas Raiders are leaving the desert and traveling to LA to face the Rams. They are only favored better in their spread with 1.91 over 1.95, while their moneyline and total odds are lower with 3.7 and 1.94 to the Rams’ 1.34 and 1.93.

Other Interesting Odds

How about playing something season-long, like an over/under bet on 3600.5 total passing yards on Aaron Rodgers? Or doing the same for Lamar Jackson for 3275.5 total yards?

If you are feeling extra lucky and want to predict the Super Bowl winners midway through the season, here is how the teams rank. The Chiefs have the best odds at 6 followed by the 49ers with 8 and the Ravens with 8.5. The Lions have 11 and the Bills and Texans 13. Teams with the worst odds to win it are the Patriots with 1501, the Panthers with 1001, and the quartet of Titans, Giants, Raiders, and Browns with 501.
