Rainy River District Crime Report: Local Resident Charged with Arson

RAINY RIVER, ON – A 30-year-old Rainy River resident has been arrested and charged with arson following a structure fire on River Avenue.

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to the scene of the fire. Frontline patrol officers, along with a Scene of Crime Officer, promptly launched an investigation, leading to the arrest of Nicole-Marie BOS.

BOS, 30, has been charged with Arson – Disregard for Human Life, in violation of Section 433(a) of the Criminal Code. She is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on October 4, 2024.
