Dryden OPP Arrest Individual for Uttering Threats

DRYDEN, ON – The Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment has charged a local resident with uttering threats following a recent incident.

On August 11, 2024, just before 7:00 p.m., officers responded to a call at a residence on Highway 601 in Wainright Township. Following an investigation, a 41-year-old resident of Wainright Township was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offenses:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Uttering Threats – Damage Property

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on September 9, 2024.
