Weather AlertTHUNDER BAY – Rainfall warning for City of Thunder Bay issued. Environment Canada has issued a warning for the City of Thunder Bay as well as for Atikokan, Shebandowan, and Quetico Park.

Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms today.

Rain with scattered thunderstorms associated will affect regions to the West Lake Superior today. Radar estimates suggest that areas west of Lake Superior received 40 to 75 mm of rain since last evening. The heaviest rainfall was over the Atikokan – Upsala – Quetico region where 50 to 75 mm likely fell while the Thunder Bay area saw 40 to 50 mm fall last night. Further rainfall amounts of 10 to 30 mm can be expected today with the Atikokan – Upsala – Quetico region again most likely to receive the highest amounts.
