Premier McGuinty – The province stands with Thunder Bay during the city’s time of need

Dalton McGuintyTHUNDER BAY – Premier McGuinty is now assuring the Mayor that “help is on the way” to flood victims in Thunder Bay. The Premier has written the Mayor.

“I want to begin by thanking you for the strong leadership you have shown during this difficult time. Know that your efforts have been crucial to helping the city deal effectively with the situation.

“I also want to express my gratitude for to emergency workers and municipal employees who have worked tirelessly to get the community back on its feet. And above all I want to thank the people of Thunder Bay for showing so vividly what we can do when we work together”.

“The province stands with Thunder Bay during the city’s time of need, and will be there with financial assistance. I want to assure you that my office is continuing to monitor the situation to ensure that area residents are supported by the province in their recovery efforts”.
